Let’s be honest, all the fun things this week fall on the same day. The 4th of July. Independence Day. There’s so many ways to celebrate America’s birthday, it’s almost overwhelming. We’ve compiled a list of some of the best activities and events going on in Utah, so you can decide best how to spend the holiday.

1. Pancake Breakfast in the Mountains

Start your 4th of July morning off right with a hearty pancake breakfast. Both Snowbird and Brighton host popular pancake breakfasts, as well as live music.

4. Local Carnivals

Many cities throughout Utah are having 4th of July carnivals with food, games, and of course, fireworks. The most popular is located at Sugar House Park, but you can find a list of all the local festivities from around the state of Utah here:

5. Oakley Rodeo

Head over to Oakley for their annual rodeo, running from July 1st to July 4th, though their website says they are sold out for the 3rd and 4th, so you’ll have to have some connections to find tickets for those days.

6. Stadium of Fire

If you’re up to venturing into Cougar territory, try snagging some tickets to the Stadium of Fire. You’ll be rewarded with music from Journey and one of the country’s biggest fireworks displays.

7. Floating the Provo River

If you’re heading down to Provo for the Stadium of Fire at night, and are looking for something to do in the daytime, consider floating down the Provo river by inner-tube. It’s a popular event for friends and families on the 4th of July and the rest of the summer.
