U Police arrested two thieves for stealing a $900 blue Diamondback mountain bike. The two, a male and a female not affiliated with the U, were riding together on lower campus near the Aline Wilmot Skaggs Biology Building when caught. They were transported to the Salt Lake County Detention Center after 11 p.m. on Oct. 21 and booked on counts of criminal mischief, theft and possession of a controlled substance.

A student from Westminster College was cited at the Halloween-themed Crimson Nights for urinating in a Union hallway and drinking underage. The 18-year-old male was released after midnight on Oct. 24.

Drive-by Assault

Two males driving a red Chevy Cobalt punched a man walking on Guardsman Way by the George S. Eccles Tennis Center. Smith said the car pulled up next to the man on Oct. 15 near 8 p.m., and one of the occupants hit the walking male causing minor injury to the mouth and upper lip. The victim said those in the car honked and yelled at him before the assault. It is unknown if any involved in the incident are affiliated with the U.
