Are you ready to make the pledge? Members of ASUU are hosting various activities at various locations around campus to raise awareness concerning college sexual assault, an aspect of the college experience that is often relegated to the shadows. Win T-Shirts and other items for participation. Ongoing through April 8.

Gen Silent

“Gen Silent,” a documentary produced in 2011, interrogates the experiences of six older LGBTQ adults struggling against a system that marginalizes them while also trying to manage family and couple relationships as they age. A community Q&A period will follow the film. Interested individuals are requested to register in advance. The screening will be at the Nancy Tessman Auditorium in the SLC Public Library on April 7 at 6:30 p.m.

HIP Talks: Preliminary Rounds

Hosted by the Hinckley Institute and sponsored by ASUU, this speech competition is meant to honor Utah Congressman Wayne Owens and will take place over the course of a few days. Matriculated U students are invited to offer two-minute speeches on any topic to put them in the running for monetary prizes, including the grand prize of $5,000.
