Events Calendar: Feb. 5

Student Job Fair

The Spring 2018 Student Job Fair takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Union Ballroom. This event is a fantastic venue for students who want to explore career fields, apply for jobs or volunteering opportunities and check out on campus departments that are hiring students. Multiple employers will be attending this event hoping to hire University of Utah students, making this a chance to network and get your foot in the door. The Career and Professional Development Center (CPDC) can also provide help in preparation for this event. To learn more about CPDC and this event, visit it’s website.

Free Film & Food

Come enjoy some free food and the movie “Animals and Love” with fellow students on Thursday, Feb. 8, from 1-2 p.m. in room 1150 at the J. Willard Marriott Library. This film is about recent scientific discoveries that provide evidence that animals may share the same emotions as humans. Liz Bonnin explores the relationships animals have while asking if animals can love in this short 53-minute film. It is a perfect break filler between classes or study sessions. For more information about this event, go to the Facebook page.

Utah Ballet II

On Thursday, Feb. 8, at 5:30 p.m. in the Marriott Center for Dance – Alice Sheets (MCD) building, Utah Ballet II will be performing, with consecutive shows at various times the rest of the week. Utah Ballet II is a great choice for a romantic student date night when asking that special someone out who could be your Valentine this year. This event is free for U students with their U Artspass (UID), $12 for adults, $8 for non-univeristy students, faculty and seniors. For more showtimes and info about Utah Ballet II, go to its website.
