Bus Hijacker Not Terrorist; Arrested

SALT LAKE CITY?A man arrested after attempting to hijack a Greyhound bus was not a terrorist, his family said Thursday, just paranoid.

Troy Matzek of Wichita, Kan., threatened to flip the bus and struggled with the driver before passengers overpowered him, authorities said.

No one was injured, and the driver pulled safely to the side of the road. Matzek and his girlfriend then fled into the night.

Police arrested Matzek, 34, and Becky Hyde, 25, also of Wichita, just after 3 a.m. Thursday, said Highway Patrol Sgt. Daniel Fuhr. The unarmed couple gave themselves up at a truck stop and were booked on charges of attempted theft of a motor vehicle and terrorist threats.
