UEC kicks off

The David Eccles School of Business will hold its Utah Entrepreneurial Challenge Kickoff in the Saltair Room in the Union at 6:30 tonight.

Shawn Nelson, CEO and founder of LoveSac, will be speaking at the meeting. Nelson graduated from the David Eccles School of Business.

The Utah Entrepreneurial Challenge is a business plan competition that allows students to apply their ideas and skills.

The winning team will receive $40,000 to fund its business, as well as services from local business firms.

The main goal of the competition is to give students a chance to apply their education to a real-world setting. More than 100 student teams will compete from schools in Utah.
