Editor:
I want to commend the students, staff and faculty at the U who have participated in the legislative process this general session. Students have gone out of their way to make their voices heard by legislators on issues ranging from Marriott Library renovations to renewable energy issues.
Too often students feel distant from their government. The actions of the students this year are refreshing. Participation in the public process is extremely important and can make a difference in public policy. I hope that students continue to exercise their voices.
