ASUU performs many functions-each as unremarkable as the last. These functions do not hold a place in the average student’s mind and so most find they consider ASUU’s role at the university to be wholly unimportant. In fact, the only time most students see anyone remotely involved with ASUU doing anything is during elections. Is it then any wonder that many students consider the ASUU elections to be a quaint, if not a pointless, exercise? Let the ASUU elections be what they can only be. Don’t insult our intelligence by trying to convince us they are truly important.
