With 21 winning seasons under her belt, Elaine Elliott is widely regarded as one of the best coaches in women’s basketball. She has the longest tenure of any basketball coach in the Mountain West Conference-men’s included. Elliott is responsible for recruiting the Canadian natives Kim Smith and Shona Thorburn and establishing a connection between the U and Canadian basketball. As a result, the Utes now have five Canadians on their team, and are looking to add more.
