Students commemorate Holocaust victims

The 21st annual “Days of Remembrance” week events commemorate the millions of victims of the Holocaust. The week also coincides with the national Holocaust Remembrance Day on May 5.

Students can pick up remembrance posters and stars in the Office of the Associate Vice President for Diversity in the Park Building. The yellow cloth stars are symbolic of identity badges that were imposed on Jews throughout history. Students wear the stars to commemorate the victims. The state observance of Holocaust Remembrance will be held at the Salt Lake Public Library on Friday, May 6 at noon.

For more specific information about the events, visit www.diversity.utah.edu/rememberance.html
