Softball rained out

Successive days of rain have forced the cancellation of yesterday’s scheduled game at Utah State in Logan.

The Utes (15-22) have already had eight contests cancelled due to inclement weather this season.

It looks as though there should be fair skies for Friday and Saturday’s scheduled doubleheaders. Mountain West Conference foe UNLV visits on Friday afternoon (beginning at 1:30 p.m. at Ute Softball Field) and San Diego State heads into town on Saturday (game one starts at noon).

The Utes are 3-7 in the MWC, and will look to do well in their final conference games of the season in hopes of securing a better seeding in the MWC Tournament-a tournament they won in 2004.
