Editor:
I receive junk mail nearly every day. Most of the time it is addressed to “Our Friendly Neighbor” or “To the Current Resident.” I think it is annoying.
Sometimes, however, I get junk mail with my full name on it, advertising credit cards and dirty magazines at a student discount rate.
How did these companies get my full name and know that I am a university student?
I hope everyone is aware that the University of Utah sells our demographical information to private businesses. Not only is this annoying, it violates my rights.
Hey U, I’m paying tuition and taxes, and you still have to turn a dime on me by selling my info?
