Micron funds equipment and furnishing for new engineering building

The U College of Engineering announced a $250,000 gift from the Micron Technology Foundation for equipment, technology infrastructure and furnishings for the new Warnock Engineering Building.

The building is expected to be completed by Oct. 2006 and will serve almost 3,500 engineering students, faculty and staff members.

The Micron Foundation also provided $23,000 for student projects and outreach activities within the College of Engineering.

The foundation is non-profit and was established by memory and CMOS image sensor maker Micron Technology, Inc.
