Editor:
I am a concealed-weapons-permit holder. I never carried on campus out of fear or for my protection. I carried out of good old American spite.
When I carried, I would think of myself as the peasant in “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” Whenever some higher-up on campus would threaten to take away my right to carry on campus, I wanted to yell, “Help! Help! I am being repressed!”
This fight has gone on long enough. Hey, U higher-ups, quit repressing the law-abiding students. We do not infringe upon the rights of those who have boney girl arms and refuse to defend themselves.
Return the favor and leave students with concealed weapons permits alone. I am imploring likeminded students to keep the fight going after I am gone. Carry on campus, and do it out of spite!
To you lawmakers, do not give the U one inch in this matter. Pretty soon the entire campus will be a Residence Hall. So I am sounding the alarm.
“Help! Help! I am being repressed!”
