Letter: Kellen Wilson, I’ll see you in hell
March 1, 2007
Editor:I am writing in response to Kellen Wilson’s letter (“Liberals draw the wrong conclusions from the Bible,” Feb. 26). Two semesters ago, I swore to never waste my time responding to Wilson’s letters again. However, I just can’t help it because what he writes is extremely offensive and very un-Christ-like. Using the words “rape” and “homosexuality” in the same sentence and calling them both equal sins demonstrates once again how bigoted and narrow-minded Wilson is. Rape implies that someone was victimized. There are no victims when two people of the same gender are in a relationship. Furthermore, rape is the result of a bad choice that someone makes. Homosexuality is NOT a choice. Even the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which Wilson belongs to, has come to accept this. The only victims resulting from homosexuality are people like Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyo. He was brutally tortured and left to die hung on a fence by a couple of bigoted, narrow-minded, self-righteous, judgmental, intolerant, homophobic rednecks like Wilson. Next time a gay person passes away in Salt Lake City, Wilson might as well go and join all the other idiots outside the church holding banners that read “God Hates Fags” or “Fags Go To Hell.” And if rape and homosexuality are both sins in the Bible, then so is masturbation; I am sure Wilson is guilty of that, so I can’t wait to see him in hell.
