Editor:In response to the piece by Marco Villano (“Utah looks to reverse Blackout curse,” Nov. 6), I would like to point out a major flaw. While some members of the University of Nebraska faithful did attempt a “Blackout” for their Sept. 27 game against Virginia Tech, the traditionalist and die-hard fans never bought into the idea (i.e. the “Blackout” didn’t happen). Anybody can do a Google search and come up with a story, but what separates good and bad journalism is actual research.Fred Ferguson, Political Science
