U students hope to bring fellow filmmakers together with those across the nation by establishing a student-affiliate chapter of the David Lynch Foundation on campus.
The student affiliate chapter would have the opportunity to view and critique student artistic media from universities across the nation before being released to the masses online through the foundation’s online television network.
World-renowned experimental director and filmmaker David Lynch8212;who attributes his 35 years of success in the filmmaking industry to regular meditation8212;created the David Lynch Foundation as a way to provide stress-reducing programs that help improve creativity, brain functioning, and academic performance in schools, particularly through the transcendental meditation technique. The foundation aims to help artists develop the full potential of human consciousness.
DLF student affiliates would have the opportunity to engage in mediation, explore all aspects of creativity, and give input to the DLF online television network through regular conference calls and video chat sessions with David Lynch himself.
U students interested in becoming a David Lynch Foundation Student Affiliate are encouraged to RSVP and request more information at [email protected]. For more information, visit www.DLF.tv.
