Shoreline 827 Wednesday, September 2, 2015.

U Police received an account of a second rape allegedly occurring at the university dorms in a four-day span.

The more recently reported incident took place in Shoreline Ridge 827 on Oct. 30 near 3 a.m. Sgt. Garth Smith is unable to release details on the case because it is still active. He could not say the age of the female victim, and did not know if perpetrator knew her before the assault.

Smith is also unsure which floor of the three-story dorm building the incident occurred on or whose room it was. He was unable to say whether either party is a student at the U.

The other assault case occurred between Oct. 31 and Nov. 2. U Police do not believe the two are connected, and both are currently being investigated.

“The investigators will collect all evidence in the case and interview any suspects or witnesses,” Smith said. “There’s not a lot I can say because it’s under investigation.”
