The Utah softball team needs a boost. After losing four of their past five games by a combined score of 47-9, the Utes need something to help them get back on track.

The memorable season was capped off by the individual event championships, where Utah was represented in each event. Junior Daria Bijak competed for Utah on floor while senior Kristina Baskett performed for the last time as a Red Rock on the bars, beam and vault.

The annual Red-White game, the finale to Utah's spring practice, wowed the crowd with electrifying offensive plays that included a few standout performances.

The Utes dropped a three-game set to BYU during the weekend. Utah has now lost nine straight games and the trend has become losing at the end of games. Against the Cougars, the Utes had a chance to win all three games, but the bullpen couldn't pull through.

After an ugly start at Berkeley, Calif., in the Round of 16, the Utes were able to end their season on a somewhat high note. Utah rebounded from a 47-5 pounding from the LSU Tigers in its Round of 16 game, and beat the Bowling Green Falcons in the Pool C consolation game, 29-17.

The Utes earned their first Mountain West Conference win with a 9-7 victory over UNLV on Thursday afternoon.
