Everyday I open your environmentally friendly recycled pages to see the new rant on the Opinion page. Most of the letters are quoting facts and arguing about "real-world issues," but I always look for the one gem that is about something truly important.

I read the other day in the Wall Street Journal that one out of every 125 Americans is a millionaire. That's insane. In this day and age, anyone can become a millionaire. You learn, growing up, that hard work is the key to success, but sometimes it seems as though a little more luck than hard work causes people to become millionaires.

Tent of goodies

Students poured into a white tent located in the Marriott Plaza on Thursday and were met with a pleasant surprise. Upon entering the heated pavilion, students helped themselves to cereal, donuts and cookies, along with a glass of milk or orange juice.
