When you wake up in the morning do you feel overwhelmed? A bit burdened by all of the horrible things happening around the world? ?Are you tired of how depressing the news is every night and often find yourself searching for a Zoloft or something to cheer you up? Anybody who knows me knows I'm not sexy. It's amazing, however, what poems will do for a man. When I was in high school, one of my best friends and I made sugar cookies (his mom helped) and wrote poems to deliver anonymously on Valentine's Day. We never got anywhere with the girls we delivered cookies and poems to (they didn't know it was us), but I've been able to tell that story for years and have all of the women around me think I'm sexy?for a few seconds.

Jazz can’t draft, O’Connor needs to go

January 31, 2006
Editor: Kevin O'Connor joined the Utah Jazz in 1994 as player scout, later becoming the general manager and vice president of basketball operations in 1999. With O'Connor in charge, the Jazz have not had a single draft pick worth writing home about. No league leaders, no All-Stars, not even a starter-and only one player who is on the current roster.

Editor: I am writing in response to Kelston L. Benson-Goupil's letter ("Abortion is sometimes the only feasible option," Jan. 30).?Benson-Goupil makes a strong argument for abortion as he paints what many would consider to be a grim picture involving a high-school-aged girl becoming pregnant.
