The perfect date is within your grasp

Lugano Restaurant 3364 S. 2300 East 412-9994 U-Discount: No Five out of five plates (food) Five out of five stars (ambiance) $15-30 per person It's kind of sad, really. Some people, no matter how hard they try, just don't know how to plan a good date. Now, a good date can include all kinds of activities-dancing, bowling, hang-gliding-but it's just not a date unless that staple element, that fundamental, is included: dinner.

Battle of the basement

Ordinarily, the Runnin' Utes would be licking their chops when a team like TCU (5-15, 1-5 MWC) came calling to the Huntsman Center. They could jump out to a big lead early and put in the youngsters and walk-ons in the second half on a breezy afternoon. But this is no ordinary season.

Students looking to run laps and lift weights may have to stick with the Field House and HPER building after the Utah State Legislature killed a bond request Thursday. In a 5 to 3 vote, the Capital Facilities and Administrative Services Appropriations Subcommittee denied the bonding necessary to build the state-of-the-art facility on campus.

The Chronicle’s View: Puff, puff-pass

November 18, 2004
There used to be a time when people didn't know smoking was bad for them. In 2004, information on the harm involved with smoking, as well as help on how to quit, are both readily available. One would think there's nothing smokers could process that would leave them at all inclined to puff their lives away.
