Take 5

What is your favorite rivalry outside of BYU-Utah?

1) Ice T vs. Ice Cube for sure. It’s not a real rivalry, just one that I created to argue with people about. At this point, I think Ice T might have the lead, even though he’s a cop on “Law & Order: SVU.” Ice Cube just makes horrible family comedies. The minds behind N.W.A. and “Cop Killer” have fallen so far. – Trevor Hale

2) Sarah vs. Sara. It’s an age-old battle. Personally, I say that Sarah is a Hebrew name, and in Hebrew it’s spelled with an H. Plus it gives it more balance. Sara is like another name, entirely. – Sarah Custen

3) ‘NSync vs. Backstreet Boys: ‘NSync had better songs overall and launched Justin Timberlake’s career, but can any boy band every match the epic beauty of BSB’s “I Want it That Way” and accompanying video? I think not. – Rachel Hanson

4) Café Rio vs. Costa Vida: They’re similarly priced and both restaurants herd customers through the line like cattle. Café Rio has tomatillo house dressing that would make road kill taste delicious, and Costa Vida just has ranch. Café Rio every time. – Dustin Gardiner

5) Dean Robert Newman vs. Professor Harris Lenowitz: Sexism, anti-Semitism, egotism…the accusations never stop. But as long as these academics keep publicly squabbling, we’ll be happy to cover the news. – Chronicle staff
