The Runnin’ Utes defeated the Cal Golden Bears 73-64 in a late Wednesday night contest at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. Sophomore forward Jakob Poeltl led the Utes in scoring with 21 points, adding nine rebounds. Sophomore forward Kyle Kuzma and senior guard Brandon Taylor both scored 15, with Taylor adding six assists.

The win avenges a 13-point loss to the Golden Bears in Berkeley earlier this month. The Runnin’ Utes continue their home stand against the Stanford Cardinal this Saturday at 3:00.
