The Lower Lights is a revival Christian folk band with a proclivity towards traditional hymns and a general nature of professionalism. My first introduction to their music was three minutes before the performance. I was immediately impressed and amused at the level of technical prowess as well as the ease and confidence each of the musicians held. This grassroots band, while not what most would consider mainstream, was a delightful respite from digital recordings. It was a group of highly talented artists doing what they loved as the eager crowd listened.
