Check out the new digs The U football team released its new uniforms for the upcoming season, which are sponsored by Under Armour. Utes Robert Johnson and Darrell Mack were on full display with Johnson in the visitor's white with Mack in the home crimson red.

Bryant shares court space with Jazz

It turns out, former Ute sharpshooter and team captain Johnnie Bryant has some basketball left to be played. A week ago, the Runnin' Utes' second-leading scorer from last season participated in a pre-draft workout for the Utah Jazz. The Jazz own the No. 23 pick in this year's draft, and the main attraction at the workout was Georgetown center and probable first-round pick Roy Hibbert.

U outdoor program to summit Mt. Rainier

The U outdoor recreation department continues its excursion of the Cascade Mountain regions with its next adventure being the most adventurous and difficult. About 14,410 feet of Mount Rainier adventure to be exact. The annual summer trip to the Washington-based Cascades for the outdoor recreation department continues in the Northwest.

Briefs: Ute skier nominated to U.S. team

The U ski team is losing its best slalom team skier, but not to another school. Sophomore Tague Thorson has accepted a nomination for the 2009 U.S. Ski Team. The official national team has not been announced, and will not be until this summer, but Thorson informed the Utah coaching staff of his decision.

Beckham-mania lives up to exciting billing

As "Beckham-mania" rolled into Utah over the weekend, people were awaiting a high-scoring, high-energy match from Real Salt Lake and the LA Galaxy. The 25,500 that showed up to Rice-Eccles Stadium were not disappointed in the match that resulted in 2-2 tie between international soccer star David Beckham's Galaxy and RSL.
