Baseball wins double header

After a month on the road to start off the season, the U baseball team (6-8) finally played its first home games Tuesday afternoon in a doubleheader against the Albertson College Coyotes (4-10).

The Utes didn’t disappoint the fans in attendance at the game with by sweeping Albertson College. Game scores were 17-4 and 9-3, as the Utes did not have much trouble with the Coyotes.

Ute coach Bill Kinneberg was elated to be playing at home.

“Playing at home is the best,” Kinneberg said. “You know the ins-and-outs of your own field, but the best thing is that you know that you will be batting in the last half of the inning.”

The Utes will head east this weekend to compete in a three -game series against UNC-Wilmington beginning Friday at 7 p.m.
