The Globe
In the recent article “Bikini Cuts Not a Cut Above the Rest,” The Globe reported surprise that the bikini-wax business, Bikini Cuts, was established in the ultra-conservative Orem-Provo region. “The highly religious area has not exactly embraced the idea of having a sexually driven hair salon in their town. Residents are fearful that the business will fill the young men in the community with sexual thoughts.”
To combat Bikini Cuts’ influence and to save young men from sexual thoughts, BYU students have created “Nun Cuts.” Unfortunately, all the attention on Bikini Cuts has also caused less attention to be placed on the opening of “Speedo Cuts.”

The Signpost
The Signpost reports that the football team will hold its first mandatory summer camp in team history. In the article titled, “Summer no break for football team,” coach Ron McBride said,
“In order for us to be successful next year, there can’t be any wasted days. Every day has to be a day that we as a team take another step to become the best.”
To boost team confidence, McBride has scheduled four summer scrimmages against local Pee Wee football teams. The Wildcats won their first game in double overtime after blocking an extra point.

The Statesman
In the article “USU Theatre group plans trip to England,” The Statesman reported that last summer a group if USU theatre students went to Northampton, England, to study acting. The same program is available to students this summer and anyone can apply.
What The Statesman failed to mention is where you can see the performances of students who participated in last summer’s acting abroad program: Bikini Cuts, Speedo Cuts and Crown Burger.

The College Times
The College Times reported in the article, “Marry into money or low expectations,” that “living in ‘Happy Valley,’ one cannot help but think of dating and marriage.”
Unless you go to Bikini Cuts-then you’ll think about sex.
In another article, “Wasting Away,” The College Times received information that UVSC “only recycles about 8 percent of its waste.” Students are petitioning the administration to improve the recycling program and create a safer environment.
Also voicing its opinion is a student club, Republicans Encouraging an Environmental Crisis. They are petitioning for more anti-recycling bins and putting current recycling bin contents in the garbage.

The Daily Universe
Controversy! BYU students who wish to have firearms at home are being denied their requests, reported the Universe in the article, “BYU housing office prohibits firearms in apartments.”
Other things not allowed in BYU housing include toasters, bathroom cleaner and things that begin with the letter F. Students are also required to be nice, flush the toilet and never leave floaters.
