Dear Editor, Little did I dream that my letter to the editor about Miss Wong’s environmental bleeding heart would cause such an irrational forest fire as in the C. P. Elliott letter of July 8. I wonder if Elliot lives in the real world. I wonder if Elliott ever thinks about where everything she or he buys in the store comes from. Does she or he drive a car or use electricity? Even if Elliott only burns logs in the fireplace, who gives Elliott the right to chop down innocent trees? If Elliott reads books, aren’t they made of paper from wood? I believe Elliott is very nave, and is a typical “enviro-extremist” who believes in nature now, but just wait until comfort and convenience disappear! Also, she or he says I am an animal, and thinks that if Elliott is also an animal then I won’t feel insulted. Well, that is something I won’t take standing up, either on two legs or four. Frank Flynn
