Every semester before the class schedules come out, I wait in anticipation for the classes that will be available to take next semester. However, the last couple of semesters, that joy over the release of a new class schedule quickly turns to frustration when I actually view the list of classes offered and at what times they are offered. I don’t know about the rest of you but I am getting tired of seeing class schedules full of afternoon classes. Heaven forbid a class start at 8:35 anymore! I have talked to friends and they expressed similar frustrations. We all have jobs that require work in the afternoons. When are we supposed to take these afternoon classes? When I started college there was no problem in taking a full load of classes and getting home in time for work at 1 pm. Now, some of the instructors don’t even get to campus at that time, based on the class schedule times. Where did all of the morning classes go?
