Playground Antics

Editor:

Wow, the series of letters between Gordon Swift and the band of merry Mormons he pissed off reached a new low Wednesday, October 5, with the publication of Kellen Wilson’s submission. I do not think hatefully generalizing hundreds of millions of people is a Christain value. And, I am going to go out on a limb here and presume that the leaders of your faith do not condone such action. By fearing to leave his dog out because “some perverted liberal will jump over the fence and rape him,” Kellen Wilson has discredited himself from any sensible debate on politics. He has also cast an increasingly brighter light on the mentality of those who believe “you’re either with us or against us.” The letters exchanged between the above mentioned parties remind me of a skit on “The Daily Show” where children read transcripts from the shows such as “The O’Reilly Factor” and “Hannity and Colmes”. Like these letters in the Chrony, it is quite entertaining. “The Daily Show” is an entertainment show though, while the Chronicle is the voice of our University. Does the Chrony want to be the forum to this playground banter.
