In Kellen Wilson’s article “Why do gay people get special treatment?” (Jan. 30, online), he made the assumption that gay people are all “perverts.”
Where does he get an idea like that? I think heterosexuals are perverts. It says it right there in the name, they are “sexuals.” That must be the only thing they ever think about.
I was amazed that Wilson thought giving scholarships to gays was prejudice. After all, there are many scholarships for members of different religious and ethnic groups and no one considers them to be prejudice. I pay student fees that go to supporting the LDS community on campus, even though I am not a member.
Frankly, I’m embarrassed to be going to a school that can have so much prejudice and hate for people that choose a different life than they. And on top of that, I think that the only people that should get scholarships are asexuals, since they are the only true non-perverts, and thus the only ones deserving of an education.
