Melissa Henriksen, a sophomore in human development, is at home recovering from a car accident that took place on campus last week.
The accident occurred after a man crossed the median on Wasatch Drive near Foothill Boulevard and smashed into Henriksen’s car.
The man died while Henriksen’s car was totaled and she was left with bruises.
A week after the accident, Henriksen said she still has multiple bruises and her body is sore.
She expects to return to class later this week and has scheduled a follow-up appointment with the trauma center.
