On Nov. 25, the Rice-Eccles Stadium parking lot will close. The U is staging a public awareness campaign to inform students who park in that lot about its impending closure.
As part of that campaign, the Associated Students of the University of Utah placed fliers on cars parked at the stadium Wednesday. The fliers list when the lots and surrounding roads will close and where to get information about transportation alternatives.
“We will have lost 3,200 spaces, that’s why we want to bring the awareness of everyone up,” said U spokeswoman Ann Floor.
The campaign will eventually include signs on the parking lots and around campus that tell students where they can get information on mass transit.
On Nov. 5 and 6, students can talk with university and UTA representatives about alternatives at noon or visit the information table that will be set up in the Union on those days.
