Editor:
I admit it.
I am a Brigham Young University fan.
Nevertheless, prior to the “big game,” I frequently commented on the fine football team at the University of Utah this year and how good it was for the entire state to have two excellent teams.
Then I became aware of Matt Canham’s article, “Corky Humps the Y.”
This is a disgrace.
How juvenile can you get?
It seems to me that, especially during these times in which we graphically see the results of hatred between peoples, this is not a time for petty hatred and cheap shots.
A friend of my nephew was just out here from Washington, D.C., and he commented on the apparent “hatred” between the Y and the U, which went far beyond just rivalry.
I agree.
There’s no place for that, and this article did everyone a great disservice.
