SALT LAKE CITY?A survey taken at the conclusion of the 2002 Winter Games found Wasatch Front residents overwhelmingly felt that the games went well.
The poll found 59 percent felt the games came off exceptionally well and 29 percent thought they were better than expected. Just 1 percent said they were worse than expected.
The residents said they were most impressed by the athletic performances, the Opening and Closing ceremonies and the efficiency and security of the games.
Eighty-seven percent felt that in retrospect it was a good thing that Salt Lake City bid for the games and 74 percent said the city should bid for a future Winter Olympics.
