SALT LAKE CITY?After all the worries about terrorism, protests and pickpockets, it turns out that people illegally selling Olympic tickets and memorabilia were the biggest problem for police during the Winter Games.
Fifty-nine people were scheduled to appear in court Monday for selling merchandise without a business license, but only two?both of them from Salt Lake County?showed up. One pleaded innocent and wants a trial; the other pleaded guilty.
About 120 people were cited for Games-related crimes in Salt Lake City. Almost 90 left town along with the athletes, crowds and revelry.
