WASHINGTON, Utah?A boy who brought explosives to his elementary school has been suspended for several days.
On Thursday, the boy began showing off small bombs he fashioned from the shells of a .22-caliber bullet at recess.
Washington County Sheriff Kirk Smith said Thursday the small explosive devices would be harmful if ignited because of the potential shrapnel. The shrapnel could hit an artery or an eye, causing serious harm.
The boy denied that he had any additional explosives, but when he was searched, one more explosive device and a pair of pliers were found in his pocket.
