GE Capital I-Sim pairs classroom instruction with the latest in computer training to teach police officers, bus drivers and truckers to negotiate the road.
Powered by multiple computers, the training devices duplicate real-world environments such as traffic and pedestrians and have 120 miles of drivable road in six different backdrops.
The facility in Salt Lake City is one of seven GE has opened in the past two months. Other centers are in Dallas, Denver and Atlanta.
