BOSTON?The House of Representatives approved a glowing resolution congratulating Mitt Romney for “saving” the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.
The resolution praised Romney, who owns a home in Belmont, as “an honored resident” and entrepreneur who saved the Salt Lake City Organizing Committee from financial chaos and scandal.
Romney, a Republican, is considering running for governor of Massachusetts.
The resolution was approved by the House on Monday. Thirteen representatives, including eight House Republicans, signed the resolution.
