MONTREAL?Canadian Mounty Harold Farnsworth brandished a gun while voicing his contempt for Canada in its refusal to provide him with a suitable mode of transportation.
“I hate riding this stupid animal every day,” Farnsworth announced before Canadian officials on Sunday. “It’s [about] speed?I can’t stand a chance to catch up with any criminal I’m chasing.”
Farnsworth accused the government of negligence and cruelty toward its security officers in forcing mounties to remain in the saddle for hours on end every day and wear stupid-looking hats.
“And for God’s sake, I can’t take it anymore!” he screamed at a Montreal district courthouse.
Farnsworth later told reporters that his main grievance was his inability to apprehend suspects.
“If they’re in a car, they’re going 60 miles an hour. On my horse, I can only go 10,” he said. “That just isn’t fair.”
