PARK CITY?Utah is heading into spring and summer in the midst of the state’s fourth straight year of low precipitation.
The snowpack for southern Utah is the lowest ever recorded at this time of year, and the eastern part of the state has among its worst snowpacks ever recorded.
This year the conservancy district?which includes Morgan, Summit, Davis and Weber counties, plus part of Box Elder County?may run short of water.
“We’re going to be mandating no watering between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.,” said Tage Flint, district manager.
People who repeatedly violate the curfew “risk losing their services for the rest of the year,” he said. “We’ll just shut them off.”
