WASHINGTON?Sen. Orrin Hatch’s work as an advocate for children’s health and pediatric AIDS issues is being recognized by the Elizabeth Glaser AIDS Foundation.
The organization is honoring Hatch with its Commitment to Children Award. Hatch is expected to receive the award at a reception Wednesday evening.
As only the third recipient of the award, Hatch finds himself in unlikely company, joining Rosie O’Donnell and Sen. Hillary Clinton as the two previous winners.
Hatch has been active in children’s health issues and was instrumental in the creation of the Elizabeth Glaser AIDS Foundation.
