SALT LAKE CITY?An opponent of the antitrust suit against Microsoft has protested the selection of former Whitewater special prosecutor Kenneth Starr, now a lobbyist for Microsoft opponents, to keynote Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff’s fund-raiser on Wednesday.
Republican activist Kenneth Olafson, an advocate against the antitrust suit, said he will not attend the GOP official’s $100-a-plate fund-raiser because of Starr’s planned appearance, claiming Shurtleff “should not have people who have a vested interest in ongoing litigation.”
Shurtleff said he has not yet been notified about Starr’s topic, but, “I’m sure he’ll have stories about the Monica Lewinsky case.”
