Four U softball players were recognized as members of the All-Mountain West Conference Team.
Lyndsey Trevis, Niki Hayhurst, Melissa Stahnke and Molly McLean were selected to the 20-member team.
Hayhurst bounced back from a rough start to hit .292 on the year with 7 home runs. McLean led the team in batting average, hitting .338. Stahnke led the team in home runs with 16 and Trevis hit .265 on the year with 5 home runs and 34 RBI.
“The four of them are so high-powered,” Stevens said. “They have just been so solid.”
Stevens mentioned Masie Ota and Traci Keller, who were not named to the All-MWC team, as outstanding performers as well for the Utes this season.
McLean and Trevis are seniors and have played their last games in the crimson and white. Hayhurst will be a senior next year, while Stahnke will be entering her junior year.
