WEST VALLEY CITY?Police have arrested a man who allegedly created more than 20 fake IDs from information found dumpster diving.

West Valley City resident Michael Turner, collected documents from garbage bins and mail boxes that listed names, social security numbers, birth dates and other personal information, police said. From those documents, he made fake IDs with his photo and someone else’s information.

Turner had information from 200 to 300 people, and had constructed false IDs and bad checks. Police are trying to contact his victims.

Turner was arrested Sunday and faces 13 counts of forgery.
