I think it’s fine. The TRAX line was definitely needed. They’re planting new trees to take the place of the old ones, and the new trees will eventually grow back. It’s a loss in the short run, but a gain in the long run. Tiffin Brough,Senior, Conflict and Human Diversity
If they want to put in a train line that keeps people from driving, that’s great. More people will ride TRAX as a result of the extension. Sometimes you have take a little to give a little, so I think the extension is a good thing.Jason BlazevicGraduate Student, International Relations
I hate it. I don’t like the fact that they removed the trees. This is my first semester on this campus after transferring, and the first thing I noticed when I came here was the mess on South Campus Drive. Also, the construction has made parking more difficult. That’s a big problem on this campus.Shannon PetrickSenior, Political Science and French
Growth is inevitable. Since the trees didn’t grow there naturally to begin with, there’s nothing wrong with it as long as they plant new trees.Gary BennettJunior, Political Science and Gender Studies
