HUDSON OAKS, Texas?A woman and her three children were killed and her estranged husband was wounded Tuesday in a shooting at their upscale home in a small town near Fort Worth.

Police Chief Ray Riley wouldn’t say whether the case was being treated as a murder-suicide, or if the wounded man was a suspect.

The bodies of the woman and her children, ages 4 to 10, were found by police inside the home after the wounded husband ran to a nearby house to get help.

The man, Manuel Perez, was in critical condition after surgery, Riley said.

They couple was married 15 years, and Dee Perez was very upset about the divorce, according to attorney Craig Towson, who said he represented her.

The divorce was close to being finalized, Towson said. The couple had mediation Monday, but Dee Perez failed to appear at a hearing Tuesday.

Hudson Oaks is 20 miles west of Fort Worth and has a population of 1,600.
