The U’s annual winter celebration will hit the Union Patio on Feb. 6.
“Fire and Ice: Winterfest 2003” will feature complimentary cider, coffee and cocoa and will allow student teams to compete in ice sculpture competitions.
“Winterfest is a great way for diverse individuals and organizations on campus to come together to have fun in the spirit of competition,” said Winterfest Chairman Frank Chacon in a recent statement.
The event, co-sponsored by the Union, the office of Student Affairs and the U’s Department of Human Resources, will run from 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with a concert in Kingsbury Hall from jazz vocalist Claudia Acuna.
The competitive portions of the day will be open to the first 25 teams to register by Jan. 31 at 4 p.m.
Teams interested in registering can do so by contacting Thuy Nguyen at 585-6898 or via e-mail at [email protected].
