I have a few suggestions for Jared Whitley, regarding his March 27 column, “Naked Women are Good Enough for Campus Feminists. First, if you mean your articles to be facetious, please start with a disclaimer. If you intend them to be taken seriously, you should perhaps not make generalizations of large groups based on isolated incidents with few people.
You may also want to try speaking to a female engineering student to ask her how easy she thinks getting her education has been, as well as what her job prospects look like.
You might also want to check the statistics (published by reputable organizations in peer-reviewed forums) for the topics you discuss.
Finally, if you feel men are at such a huge disadvantage, why don’t you do something practical about it, rather than merely reaching out to offend people who are working to help their respective groups?
